1. Shipping Policy
1.1 Product Availability
We currently sell one product: The 1000 Islands Map (physical print edition).
All orders are fulfilled directly by 1000 Islands Information and Promotions.
1.2 Processing Time
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed the next business day.
1.3 Shipping Methods
We ship using trusted carriers such as:
- Canada Post
- USPS
- UPS
- International postal partners
Shipping method is automatically selected based on destination and best available rate.
1.4 Shipping Locations
We ship worldwide, including:
- Canada
- United States
- Europe
- Australia
- Asia
- South America
- Other international destinations

1.5 Shipping Costs
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on:
- Destination country
- Package size and weight
- Carrier rates
International shipping costs may vary depending on customs and regional postal services.
1.6 Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times:
- Canada: 3–10 business days
- USA: 5–12 business days
- International: 7–21 business days
Delivery times may vary due to customs processing, weather, or carrier delays.
1.7 Customs, Duties & Taxes (International Orders)
International customers are responsible for:
- Customs fees
- Import duties
- VAT or local taxes
These charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost.
1.8 Tracking
Tracking information is provided when available. Some international economy shipments may not include tracking.
2. Returns & Refunds
2.1 Return Eligibility
Because we sell a single printed map, returns are accepted only if:
- The map arrives damaged,
- The map is defective, or
- The wrong item was shipped.
2.2 Non‑Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns for:
- Maps that have been opened, used, or damaged after delivery
- Maps returned without prior authorization
- Digital versions (if offered in the future)
2.3 How to Request a Return
To request a return:
- Email sales@1000islandsmaps.com within 7 days of delivery.
- Include your order number and photos of any damage.
- We will provide return instructions if your request is approved.
2.4 Return Shipping
- If the return is due to our error (damaged or incorrect item), we cover return shipping.
- For all other cases, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, including international returns.
2.5 Refunds
Refunds are issued once the returned map is received and inspected. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Shipping fees are non‑refundable, except in cases of our error.
3. Exchanges
If your map arrives damaged or incorrect, we will replace it at no cost. If the item is out of stock, a refund will be issued instead.
4. Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled within 12 hours of purchase if they have not yet shipped. Once shipped, cancellations are no longer possible.
5. Lost or Delayed Packages
If your package is lost or significantly delayed, contact us at sales@1000islandsmaps.com. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue.
